Island of Rock is a mega event, the first of its kind that is going to take place in the coastal city of Mangalore on the 23rd of February, 2013 on an island formerly known as Merger Island or presently called the Kudla Kuduru.
Island of Rock is set to bring about 12-15 bands to perform in a single evening from 4 PM to 12 AM.
12 of the bands will be participating in the competition, Battle of the Bands.
The other 2 (Motherjane and Swarathma-Tentative) bands will be professional reputed bands specially brought to pull the audience into the event.
The advertisement for the event will reach out to more than 2 lakh people in the region
We at expect more than 2000+ members in the audience based on the research conducted on the audience presence in the Music Festivals conducted by Manipal, NITK etc.
